Off to a great start!

So I started a day early without realizing it. Last night my best friend and parents went to a blazer game. We took the max in and say next to a group of young teenage boys up to no good. One of the boys started making fun of another group of kids on the bus that were stereotypically the "nerdy" kids. Kay and I stepped in to stop the boy fe bullying them. The unfortunate part for us was that we had to continue sitting next to these boys that were going on and on about this big party they were headed to to "get totally stupid wasted and cross faded". They're hardly even 16 years old! What changed was we ended up talking with them and the boys weren't as tough as they made themselves out to be. Two of the four were high school drop outs (at 15 years old!) and clearly needed just a mentor to talk with them. I wish I had talked to them longer and made a difference in their life. But Kay says we helped. They left the max and we wished them a good night and to be safe. I hope at least one of them will consider returning to school. Here's to a good start for my acts of kindness!
